As part of the Year of Environmental Protection and “Green Economy” announced in Uzbekistan, Ipoteka Bank OTP Group has implemented the “Eco Paper” initiative. As of today, more than 80% of the Bank’s branches and offices have already switched to environmentally friendly paper, and the Bank is steadily moving towards full coverage (100%). The new paper is produced from wood sourced from responsibly managed forests, certified under the “Forest Standard” system, and has a lower carbon footprint. This initiative highlights Ipoteka Bank’s commitment to minimizing its environmental impact and strengthening the principles of sustainable development.
Each sheet is marked with a special “Eco Paper / Eko qog’oz” label, which is also integrated into the electronic document management (EDM) system and printer settings, automatically appearing when documents are printed. This approach is aimed at enhancing ESG culture among stakeholders and raising client awareness about responsible consumption of goods and services in their daily lives.
Bank employees also inform clients about the initiative, emphasizing that the transition to eco-paper reflects Ipoteka Bank’s commitment to the values of the “green” economy and the responsible use of resources for future generations.
