Maksim Valeryevich Bykov was born on December 3, 1983, in Moscow, Russian Federation.

In 2005, he graduated from the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in World Economy.

Maksim began his career in the banking sector in 2004. From 2004 to 2015, he held various positions at Citibank Russia, DeltaCredit Bank, Barclays Bank Russia, and MTS Bank, progressing from a specialist to a Head of Department.

For 10 years (2015–2025), Maksim Bykov worked at OTP Bank (Russia), where he successively held the positions of Director of the Department for Non-Performing Loans Management, Director of the Collection and Remote Customer Service Directorate, and Director of the Collection and Operations Management Division.

On April 3, 2025, Maksim Bykov was appointed Head of the Operations Block and Acting Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.
On September 29 of the same year, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Ipoteka bank OTP Group.
