Tashkent Grand Slam 2026: OTP Group Returns as Title Sponsor of World-Class Judo

Tashkent once again becomes a global hub for judo: from February 27 to March 1, the OTP Group Grand Slam 2026 international tournament will take place at the Humo Arena. The event is included in the official calendar of the International Judo Federation (IJF).

The Grand Slam series is among the most prestigious stages of the IJF World Tour and plays a pivotal role in shaping the global rankings. Athletes earn ranking points that are strategically important within the Olympic qualification cycle.

For the second consecutive year, OTP Group serves as the title sponsor of the tournament, reinforcing its commitment to supporting sport and international initiatives in Uzbekistan, and as well as across OTP Group member countries.

More than 400 athletes from 40 countries will step onto the tatami over three days of competition. Fourteen sets of medals will be awarded across men’s and women’s weight categories:

  • 14 gold medals
  • 14 silver medals
  • 28 bronze medals

Spectators can expect dynamic world-class contests, intense rivalries, and the electrifying atmosphere of elite-level competition — with every bout contributing to the history of international judo.

“For us, our involvement in the Grand Slam is an opportunity to support sport and young athletes, as well as to be part of a significant international event in Uzbekistan,” said Sandro Rtveladze, Chairman of the Management Board of Ipoteka bank, member of OTP Group.
