Tashkent has once again proven itself as a global sports hub: from February 27 to March 1, Tashkent Grand Slam 2026, one of the most prestigious events on the IJF World Judo Tour, took place at Humo Arena with OTP Group as the title sponsor. The tournament brought together around 400 athletes from 39 countries, showcasing the city’s high international standing in the world of judo.
For the second consecutive year, OTP Group served as the title sponsor of the Grand Slam, supporting professional sports development and strengthening Tashkent’s position as a major international judo venue.
Over three days, athletes competed fiercely for medals and ranking points. The Uzbekistan national team delivered an impressive performance, finishing third in the overall medal table with 1 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
- Gold (–57 kg): Shukurzhon Aminova
- Silver: Ernazar Sarsenbaev (–100 kg), Alisher Yusupov (+100 kg)
- Bronze: Umida Nigmatova (+78 kg)
The team’s results demonstrated the high level of preparation of Uzbekistan’s athletes and the potential of the next generation.
