Ipoteka Bank OTP Group presented a key initiative at the meeting of the Foreign Investors Council — the development of a national digital internship platform for students in Uzbekistan. The platform aims to bridge education and business, simplify students’ access to real work experience, and help companies quickly find well-prepared young professionals.
“The country’s strategy always begins with people, and we believe that Uzbekistan’s future is built by talent — those who are taking their first steps in their careers today. Our initiatives are designed to make these steps confident and the opportunities real,” emphasized Venera Erzina, HR Director of Ipoteka Bank OTP Group.
The platform will serve as a unified digital space for students, universities, and employers: students will be able to find internships, assess their skills, and track their progress, while companies will benefit from user-friendly analytics and access to motivated candidates.
As part of the project, key requirements and the basic architecture of the platform have already been developed. Research among companies has been conducted, resulting in an up-to-date catalog of internships. The upcoming platform will include student profiles with resumes and applications, a searchable internship catalog with convenient filters, and a company dashboard for posting opportunities and managing applications.
In addition, Ipoteka Bank OTP Group proposed launching the High-Skilled Technical Internship Fund (HSTIF) and continuous learning support programs, which will serve as additional tools for the practical training of young specialists in high-potential sectors of the economy.
Ipoteka Bank OTP Group is confident that the creation of this internship platform will become an important step toward building a modern system for preparing young professionals, unlocking the potential of talented youth, and strengthening the human-capital foundation of Uzbekistan’s economy.
