On September 12, 2025, something more than just a job fair took place at the Tashkent International School. It was a day when talents met opportunities, and employers embraced new perspectives on inclusivity. The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) hosted the first Inclusive Job Fair in Uzbekistan — a true breakthrough in promoting equal access to the labor market.
This was a barrier-free, prejudice-free, and formality-free platform, where the question was not:
“What’s on your resume?”
but rather:
“Tell us about your strengths.”
Participants included:
- People with disabilities ready to take on new professional challenges
- Women returning to the workforce
- Young professionals without experience but with great ambitions
- Older professionals whose expertise remains invaluable
- Representatives of socially vulnerable groups striving for change
And — most importantly — employers ready not just to hire, but to invest in potential rather than stereotypes.
The event’s official opening featured leaders from AmCham, government representatives, and partners. The highlight was a panel discussion titled “Inclusive Employment as a Value,” focusing on how businesses grow stronger when open to everyone. The job fair and live interviews on site allowed participants to receive dozens of job offers and make hundreds of valuable new connections.
Masterclasses were organized for all guests, covering how to make a resume stand out, confidently succeed in interviews, and understand job seekers’ rights. Free expert consultations from HR specialists and lawyers helped address pressing personal and professional issues. A professional LinkedIn photo booth gave every participant the opportunity to get a high-quality profile photo, recognizing that a strong presentation matters to all. An exhibition of success stories inspired attendees with real-life examples of change, proving that opportunities are available to everyone.
In total, the fair attracted over 100 participants and more than 14 employers. Dozens of interviews were successful, and the first job offers have already been made. Most importantly, hundreds of people left not only with new contacts but also with hope — with the feeling that they are seen, valued, and needed.
