Two Sources of Income — More Opportunities: Ipoteka bank Now Considers Self-Employment Income When Applying for a Mortgage

Ipoteka bank OTP Group now considers self-employment income alongside official salary when assessing mortgage applications. The new option is available to customers who combine formal employment with self-employment.

The bank will now consider two sources of income:

    official salary;

    income from self-employment.

This allows customers to demonstrate their actual income level and increases their opportunities to qualify for a mortgage.

To confirm additional income, customers only need to have a valid self-employed status certificate.

“Many customers combine formal employment with additional income-generating activities. We can now consider both sources of income when assessing a mortgage application, allowing us to more accurately evaluate a customer’s financial capacity,” said Artem Sarkisyan, Director of Mortgage Business at Ipoteka bank OTP Group.

The decision to approve a mortgage and the available loan amount is made individually, taking into account the customer’s income and repayment capacity.
