Joint initiatives include the donation of modern equipment to technical colleges in three regions of Uzbekistan, as well as internship and professional development programs in Hungary.
Tashkent, September 2026. Ipoteka bank OTP Group and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Hungary are strengthening cooperation in the field of vocational education and workforce development.
On 11 August 2026, Adam A. Szentpeteri, Chairman of the Management Board of Ipoteka bank OTP Group, met with Aybek Shakhavdinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Hungary. During the meeting, the parties discussed OTP Group’s activities in Uzbekistan and explored new opportunities to support educational and professional development initiatives.
One of the key areas of cooperation will be the advancement of technical education in Uzbekistan’s regions. As part of the initiative, modern technical equipment will be provided to Technical College No. 2 in Bulakbashi District of Andijan Region, Technical College No. 2 in Karshi District of Kashkadarya Region, and the Abu Ali ibn Sino Public Health College in Dustlik District of Jizzakh Region. The new equipment will enhance students’ practical training opportunities and strengthen the colleges’ technical infrastructure.
In addition, the parties are considering the launch of internship and professional development programs in Hungary for specialists from Uzbekistan’s healthcare, judicial, and cultural sectors.
The projects are planned to be implemented with grant support from OTP Group as part of events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. These initiatives will expand access to modern equipment, practical knowledge, and international experience for students and professionals.
